Receiving God’s Precious Promise
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government will be on his shoulder: and his name is called Wonderful Counsellor, the Mighty One, the Everlasting God, the Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 6)
Jesus our Saviour is born!
Two thousand years ago Jesus of Nazareth was born in humble obscurity, but since that day the history of our world has been based on that moment in time when all creation rejoiced. So important was that event that our calendar uses that day as the starting point of a new era, the Christian era that we continue to live in today.
May the Christmas celebration of the coming of Jesus into our world and into our hearts again inspire us to renew our Faith, to revive our understanding of the Gospel message, and to shine as lights of Love as we move into the New Year.
