Message for December 1, 2025

Preparing for Christmas

As the snow arrives in Woodland Beach it brings with it the beginning of those days when we become busily engaged in the traditional activities of the Christmas season in so many good ways. In not-so-good ways this year we are distracted and challenged by unprecedented uncertainty and unexpected challenges related to the Canadian economy and even our values.

We encourage you to focus each day of December on ways to strengthen your Faith in the true significance of the two thousand- year history of Christianity. Our Saviour Jesus of Nazareth was born on Christmas day.

Our spiritual lives must be nourished and refreshed just as athletes and artists and musicians and skilled people in all walks of life regularly strengthen their skills with discipline and determination to remain competitive and committed and current and vibrant and successful on their life journeys.

As of Thanksgiving the seasonal church is closed until May; however, we will be celebrating at the church on Christmas Eve again this year. In response to requests we will have two services, 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Please join us for readings, music, reflections, and fellowship on the holiest night of the year.

The message for Christmas Eve entitled “Receiving God’s Precious Promise” addresses our belief in the word that God sent about his coming Son, based on the Messianic prophecies recorded in Isaiah 9.

Have a prayerful and faith-filled preparation for Christmas!
