Finding You Lane . . .

Ps 139: 1-7

It’s the beginning of summer. Summer holidays, refreshing the body and soul, maybe taking time to relax and regenerate. For some of us it could be just taking a time out to read, fish, renew acquaintances with old friends, nature hikes, .

For me I got my SLR camera down from the closet and dusted the bag off and getting ready to find a place where the birds are plentiful and setting up my tripod, a thermos full of coffee and being out in nature. I find peace and tranquility in the quiet sounds of the forest – just getting away from my usual and to really hear the voice of the Lord.

For some of you, perhaps you’re in transition. You may be seeking and searching for what the Lord has for you next. You just finished an assignment or job, you may have had your teenager set off to college, maybe an empty nest, as Diana and have experienced, your full-time job as parent was just downsized to part time parenting – little Johnny or Sally aren’t little anymore, and while hoping your parenting has done its job, you’re asking the what’s next?

Perhaps you are feeling the time has finished at a volunteer position at the church.

Maybe your job was downsized and you’re in that transition and wanting to figure out whats next.

I really sense this morning to speaking into finding practical help in transition to try to uncomplicated life as found in Ps 139:1-7 and to remind us that we are God’s children and God cares for us too as we transition.
