Message from Sunday May 31
Jesus is the Lord, Creator, and Redeemer.
Do we really have a clear picture of who Jesus is? Do we give him the honour due to him?
We are familiar through New Testament accounts with the earthly life of Jesus from his birth to his death; however, we need to find Jesus in the Old Testament to really help us understand that Jesus always was, he was before his incarnation. We have underestimated who Jesus is.
We began with Isaiah and reviewed the scripture references below that confirm that Jesus is God, not from a moment in human history but always, including his own reference in John 17; 5 to “the glory I had before the world began”.

1. Jesus As Lord: Isaiah 43:11-12; Philippians 2:5-11; John 14:8-10; John 17:1-5 & 20-22.
2. Jesus as Creator: Isaiah 40:28-29; Colossians 1:15-20; Romans 8:33-39.
3. Jesus as Redeemer: Isaiah 44:6, 24; Isaiah 43:11; Isaiah 45:21b; Revelation 22:12,13 & 17.
