As hints of spring tantalize us with wisps of periodic warmer temperatures and winter won’t easily give up its hold we are moving ahead with plans for the opening of the 2026 Woodland Beach Community Church season on Sunday May 17. This is a very special year for our church both historically and spiritually as we will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of its founding in 1926. The focus of the celebration will be on the weekend of July 4th when we will host an Open House for the community with a special service on the Sunday morning at the regular 10:30 time.
This month as we all approach the holy days in remembrance of the passion and death of Jesus our Saviour, and we begin to anticipate the glorious celebration of Easter on April 5th @ 9am, we keep you in our prayers and encourage you to find some quiet time to centre yourself on the factual history, on the biblical recordings, on the unity of the Faith we share with millions of Christians throughout our world, on ways each of us can better model Jesus in our own circles of contacts, on contributing counter-balances to the intrusions of evil we are witnessing, and yes, on our personal prayer, almsgiving, and holy thanksgiving.
